Miley W. (Lee) Merkhofer is a well-known author and practitioner in the field of decision analysis. His specialty is project portfolio management (PPM).
Lee has more than 25 years experience developing project priority systems for clients in numerous industries, including energy, financial services, technology, life sciences, health care, and consumer products, and for
government agencies in the US and Canada. He teaches courses on project portfolio management, has published numerous papers on the subject, and has received awards for his work in the area.

Lee has served on advisory panels for numerous government U.S. agencies, including the EPA, DOE, NASA, NSF, NIH, and USDA. Previously, Lee was a
partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he founded and led the PwC Capital Allocation business practice, a partner of the
consulting company Applied Decision Analysis, Inc., and a founding partner of the software company Folio Technologies.
Lee is married with two childeren and is an avid, downhill skier.
